Here's the dress:
Super cute, right? And I got it on sale for less than $10.
I was thinking nude colored sandals or maybe some nude colored open-toed pumps/kitten heels, but I have a few issues/concerns:
1. I have to get the shoulder straps taken up, so the dress, which is already kind of short, will be even shorter. I don't want to do high heels or wedges because I don't want to look like a 'ho.
2. It's hard to find some classy looking sandals, especially nude colored. I'm afraid I won't find any locally and I don't want to spend a bundle (I'm thinking $30 max).
3. I have silver colored sandals, which might work. I was also thinking gold colored sandals would look good, but I'm wearing either pearls or silver/white gold jewelry. Will it clash? The last think I want is too many metallics going on at once.
So, suggestions on where I should look? Which stores would be my best bet? Do they have a website? Even better yet, is there a specific pair of shoes you think would look good with it (with pictures)? The graduation is still a ways away, but I want to make sure I get some great shoes for this pretty little dress.

ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty dress!! You got a GREAT deal. While I understand your desire for flats, it makes me sad to see that gorgeous little dress with anything besides pumps!! If it were me (and it obviously isn't) I would switch out the pink belt for a black one and wear black pumps. It would look fantastic with your pearls and, come on...how cute would you be with your little Carrie Bradshaw dress!!! A different (maybe even more seasonally appropriate) alternative? Blue. I recommend Jessica Simpson.

Thomas, I love the idea of getting a black belt and wearing black pumps with pearls. I have a dozen different pairs of black shoes already, on of which would be fabulous. I wish I was brave enough for the blue ones... I just don't think I could pull it off confidently. I'm still keeping the nude in mind too.
